يواجه وزير الدفاع الأمريكي بيت هيغسيث تهديدات بفتح تحقيقات برلمانية ومطالبات بعزله بعد فوز الديمقراطيين بأغلبية في الكونغرس.
أقر الرئيس ترامب ونائبه بأن الحرب على إيران ساهمت في خسائر الجمهوريين رغم تمسك الرئيس بوزيره.
يهدد الديمقراطيون بتقييد تمويل وزارة الدفاع والتحقيق في إدارة الحرب على إيران وتسييس القوات المسلحة.
