وزير الخارجية: استضافة مصر مؤتمر مكافحة التصحر 2028 تعكس الثقة الدولية

يعكس اختيار مصر لاستضافة مؤتمر مكافحة التصحر لعام 2028 الثقة الدولية في دورها الفاعل في قضايا البيئة والمناخ.
يأتي هذا الاختيار امتداداً لنجاح مصر في استضافة مؤتمرات دولية سابقة تتعلق بتغير المناخ والتنوع البيولوجي.
تستهدف مصر من خلال استضافة المؤتمر تعزيز التعاون في مجالات مكافحة التصحر والجفاف وتدهور الأراضي.
ركز اللقاء على أهمية توفير تمويل جديد للدول النامية لمواجهة تحديات الأمن المائي والغذائي.

التقي الدكتور بدر عبد العاطي وزير الخارجية والتعاون الدولي والمصريين بالخارج، اليوم الثلاثاء 27 أكتوبر، الدكتورة ياسمين فؤاد السكرتير التنفيذي لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر، وذلك في إطار التشاور حول أولويات التعاون بين مصر وسكرتارية الاتفاقية خلال المرحلة المقبلة، والتحضير لاستضافة مصر الدورة الثامنة عشرة لمؤتمر أطراف الاتفاقية عام 2028. وأعرب وزير الخارجية عن التقدير.
