Iraq dollar exchange rates fluctuate across Baghdad, Erbil, and Basra
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The US dollar exchange rates against the Iraqi dinar experienced localized fluctuations across major domestic trading floors on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. This parallel market activity continues despite the official exchange rate remaining firmly set by the Central Bank of Iraq at 130,000 IQD per $100.
In the capital city of Baghdad, the parallel market recorded the highest premiums, with the selling price reaching 154,000 IQD per $100, while the buying price settled at 153,750 IQD.
Meanwhile, trading hubs in the northern and southern regions saw slightly tighter margins. In the Erbil stock exchange, the selling rate was recorded at 153,750 IQD per $100, with buying operations clearing at 153,500 IQD.
In the southern port city of Basra, financial exchanges mirrored Erbil’s selling price at 153,750 IQD per $100, though the buying rate dipped slightly lower to close at 153,250 IQD.
