Iran says it pursues diplomacy with dignity and strength

Iran’s deputy foreign minister, Kazem Gharibabadi, said Tehran remains committed to what he described as “peace with power” and “diplomacy with dignity”, while defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In remarks marking the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr, Gharibabadi said the event underscored the right of nations subjected to aggression and occupation to defend themselves.

Gharibabadi described the recapture of Khorramshahr as a victory of national determination over foreign-backed aggression and said the lesson continues to guide Iran’s policies today.

He added that Iran remains committed to diplomacy while maintaining what he called a decisive defence of the country’s independence, rights and national dignity.
