Rubio says India key to U.S. Indo-Pacific strategy, invites Modi to Washington

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to India and conveyed an invitation from President Donald Trump for Modi to visit Washington later this year. The two sides discussed defence, trade, technology, energy and connectivity, while strengthening the Quad partnership remains a key focus of Rubio’s visit.
