#SHOWBIZ: Veteran singer Sheeda faces fresh heartbreak as daughter-in-law battles Stage 4 cancer
KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran dangdut singer Sheeda is facing another emotional trial after her daughter-in-law was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer, compounding the grief she has endured since losing her daughter in 2024.
In a news report yesterday, Sheeda, whose real name is Sayyida Beevi, 62, said the devastating news comes as she continues to rebuild her life following the death of her child.
She now lives with her son, daughter-in-law and grandchild for companionship.
“I stay with my son, my daughter-in-law and my grandchild after my child passed away. When they are around, it eases my longing,” she said.
“However, Allah tests me once again when my daughter-in-law was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer,” she added.
The singer also revealed that she previously suffered severe trauma after the loss of her third child, describing a period of deep emotional instability.
“I felt lost, mentally drained, not knowing where to go. I couldn’t meet people and was traumatised by hospitals and ambulances,” she said.
“I felt like I was going crazy, but I slowly recovered,” she added, reflecting on her healing journey.
Sheeda said the pain of losing her daughter remains profound, especially as the late Nur Fazlinda Ahmad Fazli, also known as Alin, was the only child living with her at the time before passing away from lung cancer in 2024.
