Veterans ruck march raises funds amid homeless services budget cuts
Joel and Amber Oyama of Gresham got an early start observing Memorial Day. By 8 a.m. Monday, the couple had put on heavy backpacks and started a 12-mile walk through North Portland as part of a “ruck march” fundraiser for veterans services.
