Readers respond: Data center tax breaks burden future generations

As a small business owner in Portland, I read the article on the tax giveaway to data centers in disbelief, (“Oregon officials and candidates decry data centers’ multi-decade tax breaks,” May 8). The story mentioned a company named CoreWeave which employs 20 individuals and is getting $23 million in tax breaks. That was a sobering example of how this tax abatement program works.
