Acidre: Senate must not be used as distraction from Duterte impeachment

MANILA, Philippines — The Senate and its committees must not be used to sow intrigue and distract the public from the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte, Tingog party-list Rep. Jude Acidre said on Tuesday. Acidre said this in response to calls from members of the Senate majority bloc to revive the Senate blue ribbon committee hearings on the flood control issue.
