AMK Pandan crisis escalates with looming defamation suit

KUALA LUMPUR: The internal crisis within Angkatan Muda Keadilan Pandan has escalated further, with former deputy chief Muhammad Haqimi Mohd Zamri planning legal action over alleged defamatory remarks made against him and Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli.

In a statement today, Haqimi said he was discussing with his lawyers the possibility of issuing a Letter of Demand (LOD) to AMK Pandan chief Mohd Ifwat Amir Hamirudin over statements allegedly made during a TikTok live session on May 21.

He said the proposed legal notice would demand that the statements be withdrawn, a public apology issued, and any further alleged defamatory remarks stopped within 24 hours of receipt.
