Banque Misr launches financing programme for residential solar energy systems

Banque Misr has announced the launch of a dedicated financing programme for residential solar panel systems, offering flexible repayment terms and competitive benefits tailored to different customer segments, as part of its commitment to supporting Egypt’s transition towards greater use of renewable energy sources.

Under the programme, the bank will provide financing of up to 100% of the value of residential solar energy systems, alongside multiple repayment options and complimentary life insurance coverage.

For a limited period, customers will also benefit from promotional incentives, including waived administrative fees, a competitive interest rate and a cashback reward equivalent to one instalment payment.

According to a statement issued by the bank, the initiative reflects its continued commitment to supporting the shift towards clean energy, promoting sustainability practices and encouraging more efficient electricity consumption.

The bank added that residential solar panels represent a practical solution for reducing energy costs while contributing to environmental protection and expanding access to cleaner energy sources.

The programme aligns with broader efforts within Egypt’s banking sector to support green finance and sustainable investment, while encouraging households to adopt environmentally friendly technologies that help lower long-term energy consumption.
