Bayer Leverkusen Lead Race For Super Eagles Winger Ejuke

Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly leading the race to sign Nigeria winger Chidera Ejuke ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ejuke is expected to leave Sevilla following another difficult campaign for the Spanish club.

The 28-year-old struggled to make a major impact at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, registering just one goal and one assist in 29 La Liga appearances for Los Nervionenses.

Reports suggest that several Premier League clubs are also monitoring the Nigerian international, although Bayer Leverkusen are currently viewed as frontrunners for his signature.

Ejuke, who joined Sevilla on a free transfer in 2024 after leaving CSKA Moscow, is valued at €4 million by Transfermarkt.

A move to Germany could provide the winger with an opportunity to revive his career after two challenging seasons in Spain.

With only one year remaining on his contract, Sevilla are keen to avoid losing the player on a free transfer next summer and are expected to listen to suitable offers.

The Andalusian club are under financial pressure due to La Liga regulations and are prioritising player sales as part of efforts to balance their books.

Ejuke’s international colleague Akor Adams has also been linked with a move away, with Sevilla seeking to reshape their squad after narrowly avoiding relegation by finishing 17th in the league last season.
