Cebu City to give 135,000 learners school supplies before class opening

LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — Around 135,000 students in Cebu City will receive school supplies and learning materials from the city government ahead of the opening of classes for school year 2026-2027. The distribution forms part of the city’s education support program funded through the Local School Board as public schools prepare to reopen on June 8. City officials said that each learner from Grades 1 to 10 will receive a backpack containing notebooks, pencils, and erasers.
