Dole reminds employers of holiday pay rules on May 27

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) has reminded employers of proper pay rules for their employees on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, which is a regular holiday. President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. earlier declared May 27 as a regular holiday nationwide in observance of Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice. This declaration was recommended by the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos following the 1447 Hijrah Islamic Lunar Calendar.
