Eckem aims to raise RM15mil from ACE Market debut

KUALA LUMPUR: Speciality industrial chemical solutions provider Eckem Holdings Bhd plans to raise RM15 million from its initial public offering (IPO) on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia.

The IPO comprises a public issue of 125 million new ordinary shares, representing 20 per cent of the company’s enlarged issued share capital of 625 million shares, and an offer for sale of 62.5 million existing shares, equivalent to 10 per cent of the enlarged share capital.

Based on the IPO price of 12 sen per share, the public issue is expected to generate gross proceeds of RM15 million.

Of the proceeds raised, RM6 million will be allocated for the construction of a new corporate office, warehouse and laboratory, while RM2 million will be used to expand a new production line for its rubber products segment.

The company will also earmark RM1.45 million for the repayment of bank borrowings, RM1.75 million for working capital requirements and RM3.8 million to cover listing expenses.

Executive director Tan Khai Jeik said the prospectus launch marked a significant milestone in Eckem’s corporate journey, adding that the company had built strong relationships with industrial customers through reliable supply, application formulation support and technical expertise.

“Through this IPO, we aim to strengthen our operational capabilities, expand our infrastructure and enhance our ability to support customers’ application requirements to support Malaysia’s manufacturing sector,” he said at the company’s prospectus launch here today.

Meanwhile, M&A Securities Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Bill Tan said Eckem had established a solid presence in the speciality industrial chemicals segment through its ability to deliver customised chemical solutions and maintain strong customer relationships.

He said the company was well positioned to capture future opportunities and generate sustainable growth following its ACE Market listing, supported by continued expansion in Malaysia’s industrial and manufacturing sectors.

Eckem, together with its subsidiaries, provides speciality industrial chemical solutions in Malaysia and is also involved in the manufacturing and trading of rubber products.

The company serves a diverse customer base across multiple industries, comprising downstream industrial users in the manufacturing segment, as well as compounders and resellers.

Eckem primarily serves customers in Malaysia, which accounted for approximately 94 per cent of its revenue in 2025, while also

maintaining a presence in overseas markets, including China, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as other international markets.

M&A Securities is the principal adviser, sponsor, underwriter and placement agent for this IPO.
