ITV calls time on gritty crime thriller after just one series despite huge Hollywood star lead

ITV has called time on Andrew Lincoln’s hard-edged thriller Coldwater, despite a star-studded cast and a major cliffhanger.   The six-parter featured the This Life actor as John, who moved his family to rural Scotland after a traumatic incident in London.  John fell under the spell of psychotic killer Tommy, played by Trainspotting’s Ewen Bremner….
