Japan holds welcoming ceremony, state call for Marcos, First Lady

TOKYO, Japan — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday received the Grand Cordon of the Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum, one of Japan’s highest and most prestigious honors, during a state call on Their Majesties Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako at the Imperial Palace. First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, who accompanied the President during his four-day state visit, also received the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Precious Crown.
