Jinggoy Estrada on his upcoming plunder case: ‘So be it’

MANILA, Philippines – “So be it.” These are the words of a seemingly defeated Sen. Jinggoy Estrada on Tuesday as he responded to the plunder case against him that the Ombudsman will file in the Sandiganbayan. “Well, if this is the price that I have to pay for standing on my own principles and what I believe in? So be it,” Estrada told reporters. It was the Department of Justice (DOJ) that recommended the filing of plunder, graft, and bribery cases against Estrada for his alleged move to insert funding into the anomalous flood control projects for “kickbacks” in return.
