Kefas’ Road Projects Have Eased Movement In Jalingo – Commissioner

The ongoing township road construction across major streets and communities in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital has raised hope among residents of improved transportation, reduced flooding, and better access to businesses and homes.

The road projects are in areas such as Deeper Life, Agwan Kassa, Lasandi, Abuja Phase 1 and 2, Mobile Link, TSTC and the surrounding communities.

The state commissioner for Information and Reorientation, Barr. Zainab Usman Jalingo, said the projects were aimed at tackling infrastructural challenges that had affected movement and obstructed daily activities in the state capital.

In a statement she issued to newsmen in Jalingo, the commissioner said the residents had for years contended with dusty roads, potholes, poor drainage systems and seasonal flooding, particularly during the rainy season.

She explained that the projects were designed to improve access, ease transportation difficulties and boost commercial activities in the affected communities.

Usman Jalingo said better road networks would also contribute to improved security and enhance living conditions for the residents.

She said, “The ongoing township road construction in Jalingo is beyond infrastructural intervention; it is an intentional effort to reconnect communities and redefine urban living in Taraba State.

The projects form part of the state government’s urban renewal efforts, aimed at modernising Jalingo and addressing infrastructure deficits in key residential and commercial areas.
