Music Awards Japan 2026 strives to honor artists from PH and Asia

One of the much-anticipated honors at the second edition of Music Awards Japan is the International Special Award, which celebrates artists from the Philippines and other parts of Asia. In its inaugural edition in 2025, this award was known as the Special Award for Popular Music, depending on the country. For the Philippines, the winner was Lola Amour for their smash hit “Raining in Manila,” which brought the group to Japan and allowed them to meet a different kind of audience.
