Online job market records 587,801 vacancies in Q4 2025: DOSM

PUTRAJAYA: A total of 587,801 job vacancies were advertised online in the fourth quarter of 2025, according to the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) in its publication Big Data Analytics: Job Market Insights – Online Job Vacancies in Malaysia, Q4 2025.

Chief Statistician Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin said the number of companies advertising jobs rose to 80,287 in the fourth quarter from 77,615 in the previous quarter.

“Professional roles continued to dominate online job advertisements, accounting for 46.4 per cent or 272,698 openings, followed by technicians and associate professionals (93,358) and managers (88,080),” he said in a statement today.

Demand was highest for advertising and marketing professionals with 42,411 openings, followed by managing directors and chief executives (36,656), administrative associate professionals (29,569), administrative professionals (22,093), as well as accountants and auditors (20,111).

Mohd Uzir added that the services sector remained the largest contributor, accounting for 84.4 per cent or 496,065 online job advertisements in the fourth quarter, compared with 77.2 per cent in the previous quarter.
