Rixos Baghdad construction surpasses 60%
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Qatar’s Estithmar Real Estate Iraq has revealed that the construction of the Rixos Baghdad Hotel and Residences project surpassed 60 percent.
The company said in a statement that work is proceeding well, with the contractor slated to hand over the project in the first quarter of 2027, despite turmoil in the region.
Accor, a French multinational hospitality company that owns, manages, and franchises over 5,800 hotels, resorts, and vacation properties, is going to manage the project.
The hotel received the ‘Luxury Project of the Year’ prize at the renowned ‘Construction Innovation Awards 2025’ in Dubai.
The beautiful structure, inspired by the region’s rich culture and natural beauty, represents an architectural marvel as it marks the beginning of a new era for the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
The building embodies Iraq’s rich legacy while embracing modern architecture and elegance, resulting in a fresh and obvious presence on the city skyline.
Rixos Baghdad Hotel & Residences, which features 322 sophisticated hotel rooms, 159 premium residences, nine unique hotel villas, and six signature restaurants, represents a significant step forward in Baghdad’s evolution into a worldwide tourism center.
The building is intended to provide a world-class luxury experience while keeping grounded in Iraq’s cultural heritage.
