#SHOWBIZ: KJ, Amy Search and celebs to smash it out at ‘Pickleball 5 Bomoh’
KUALA LUMPUR: To mark the release of the film 5 Bomoh on June 4, production house Aizu Group has come up with Pickleball 5 Bomoh, a tournament bringing together celebrities, social media influencers and media practitioners in a relaxed yet competitive atmosphere.
The event, scheduled to take place at 8pm on June 1 at Cave PP Club Pickleball, Jalan Ampang, will be an exciting meeting between the entertainment world, media and the sports community.
The tournament is expected to be lively with the participation of several big names in entertainment such as Datuk Amy of Search, Datuk Aaron Aziz, Datuk Afdlin Shauki, Johan, Ozlynn Wati, Scha Al Yahya, Ungku Hariz as well as former Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin who will make a special appearance in the film.
A total of 40 teams will compete that night, and pickleball was chosen as a unifying medium because of its inclusive nature, ease to learn and suitability for all ages and backgrounds.
Aizu Group Chairman Datuk Aizuddin Ghazali said that combining entertainment and sports can create closer ties between celebrities, the media and the public.
“5 Bomoh Pickleball is not just a sports competition, but a platform to bring closer relationships between celebrities, social media influencers and media partners in a positive and relaxed atmosphere.
“At the same time, it promotes a healthy lifestyle, cooperation, tolerance and a spirit of togetherness,” he said.
Aizuddin added that the competition will be held at the group stage before continuing to the knockout round to determine the champion.
5 Bomoh, produced by Global Station Sdn Bhd, Skop Production Sdn Bhd and Aizu Group, is a satirical comedy that exposes the ridiculousness of superstition and how scammers prey on superstitious people.
The public is invited to participate and meet their favourite celebrities in this interesting event.
