Stormy weather forecast for Egypt on Saturday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts continued mild spring weather during the night and early morning hours across most parts of the country on Saturday, with possible thunderstorms across the country.

Hot weather is expected during the day in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, while slightly hot along the northern coast and very hot in Upper Egypt.

Expected temperatures:

  • Northern Coast: 25C
  • Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt: 31C
  • Northern Upper Egypt: 34C
  • Southern Upper Egypt: 38C

The EMA also forecasts intervals of light to moderate rain, with possible thunder, in parts of the northern coast and northern Lower Egypt.

There will also be a slight chance of light rain in parts of southern Lower Egypt, the Suez Canal cities, parts of Greater Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt.

Weather maps indicate intermittent wind activity across most of the country, with speeds potentially reaching 30-35 km/h.

This could lead to dust storms and unstable weather in some areas.

The EMA confirmed the possibility of strong winds associated with thunderstorms, along with a chance of hail in some areas.

Citizens are urged to exercise caution and avoid standing under trees, billboards, or dilapidated buildings during the unstable weather periods.
