Summer Weather Arrives Just in Time for the Pentecost Bank Holiday
Sunny, dry, and summer-like warm weather is expected over the long Pentecost weekend, with high temperatures approaching 30 degrees Celsius. Winds will be brisk and occasionally strong in many areas, according to a forecast from HungaroMet Nonprofit Zrt. sent to MTI on Thursday.
On Friday, generally sunny weather is expected, with mostly light, high clouds and cumulus clouds. Only in the eastern border region might there be an occasional light shower; no precipitation is expected elsewhere. Northerly winds will be strong in many areas, while slightly calmer conditions are likely in the central part of the country. Highs will range between 23 and 28 degrees.

On Saturday, sunny, dry weather is expected with a few thin and cumulus clouds. The northeasterly and northerly winds will be brisk in many areas, accompanied by strong gusts. Minimum temperatures will generally range between 10 and 16 degrees, but in wind-sheltered, cold-prone areas, it may be a few degrees cooler. By the afternoon, temperatures will reach between 23 and 28 degrees.
On Pentecost Sunday, sunny, dry weather is expected with a few thin and cumulus clouds. The north-northeasterly wind will be brisk in many areas, with strong gusts in some places.
The lowest nighttime temperatures are generally expected to be between 10 and 15 degrees, but in wind-sheltered, cold-prone areas, it may be a few degrees cooler. By the afternoon, the air will warm up between 25 and 30 degrees.
On Whit Monday, sunny weather is expected with generally few high clouds and cumulus clouds, but precipitation is unlikely. The northerly wind may remain brisk over a wide area, and strong in some places. Temperatures at dawn will generally range between 12 and 18 degrees, but it may be a few degrees cooler in areas prone to cold. Highs are likely to range between 25 and 31 degrees.
