Two friends killed after car skids into tree in Kulai

KULAI: Two friends were killed after the car they were travelling in skidded and crashed into a tree at Km27 of the Johor Baru–Air Hitam Road here today.

Kulai police chief Assistant Commissioner Tan Seng Lee said authorities received information on the crash at 3.05am.

He said the vehicle was driven by a 24-year-old man, with a 22-year-old woman as the passenger.

“The car, which was heading towards Johor Baru, is believed to have skidded before crashing into a tree on the left side of the road. Both the driver and passenger sustained severe injuries and were confirmed dead at the scene,” he said in a statement.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
