Zubiri breaks silence about ‘betrayal’ resulting in ouster 2 years ago

MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon — Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri publicly broke his silence Wednesday regarding his removal from the Senate leadership two years ago, expressing disappointment over what he described as betrayal by colleagues whom he considered to be close political allies. In an emotional message addressed to his constituents and supporters in Bukidnon, alongside Gov. Rogelio Neil Roque and several municipal mayors, Zubiri explained that his decision to remain with the Senate minority bloc despite political pressure to return to the majority coalition is partly tempered by that incident two years ago.
