يجب أن يتجاوز توطين صناعة السيارات فكرة زيادة الإنتاج المحلي ليصبح مشروعا لبناء قاعدة صناعية قادرة على المنافسة والتصدير.
تعد صناعة السيارات الكهربائية فرصة لإعادة رسم مستقبل الصناعة المصرية وتوطين الصناعات الدقيقة مثل البطاريات والمحركات وأنظمة التحكم.
يتطلب نجاح التجربة وضع رؤية طويلة الأجل تشمل دعم البحث والتطوير وتأهيل العمالة الفنية وتوفير بيئة تنافسية للمنتج المصري.
يساهم توطين هذه الصناعة في نمو عشرات الصناعات المرتبطة بها وتعزيز القيمة المضافة للاقتصاد وتوفير فرص عمل نوعية.

أكد النائب أحمد سمير، عضو مجلس الشيوخ، أن توجه الدولة نحو توطين صناعة السيارات والصناعات المغذية لها يجب أن يتجاوز فكرة زيادة الإنتاج المحلي، ليصبح مشروعًا متكاملًا لبناء قاعدة صناعية مصرية
