في لحظات التحول الكبرى في الجغرافيا السياسية لا تُقاس النتائج بالتصريحات الرسمية ولا بالاتفاقات المعلنة، بل بما يتسرب من خلف الستار: تغيّر قواعد الاشتباك، وإعادة تعريف حدود التصعيد، وتبدل أدوار القوى الإقليمية من الفعل المباشر إلى إدارة التأثير عن بُعد. ما يجري في العلاقة المتوترة بين واشنطن وطهران لا يبدو اتفاقًا بالمعنى التقليدي، بل أقرب.
