تأكيد مقتل 11 بعد تسرب مواد كيميائية بمصنع في أميركا وانتشال الجثث

أكدت السلطات الأميركية ارتفاع عدد قتلى تسرب مواد كيميائية من خزان في مصنع بولاية واشنطن إلى 11 وانتشال فرق الإنقاذ لكل الجثث، بما يعني العثور على جثث تسعة مفقودين.

وفي البداية، أكدت السلطات مقتل اثنين بعد وقوع انفجار داخلي في خزان يحتوي على محلول كيميائي، مكون من هيدروكسيد الصوديوم (الصودا الكاوية) وكبريتيد الصوديوم، يستخدم في تصنيع عجين الورق في منشأة نيبون ديناويف للتغليف يوم الثلاثاء، وأشارت لوجود تسعة مفقودين في الواقعة.

وقال مسؤول في إدارة الإطفاء والإنقاذ إن البحث عن المفقودين على مدى الأيام الماضية شمل بحثاً تحت الأنقاض في منطقة مغلقة بمساعدة طائرات مسيّرة في الموقع.

وذكر مسؤولون أن الخزان كان يحتوي على حوالي 3.4 مليون ليتر من المادة الكيميائية، وأكدت الاختبارات أن الواقعة أسفرت عن تسرب تلوث في نهر كولومبيا القريب، دون رصد “آثار صحية سلبية” على جودة الهواء أو مياه الشرب في مدينة لونغفيو.

والمنشأة الصناعية التي شهدت هذه الواقعة تابعة لشركة نيبون بيبر إندستريز اليابانية التي استحوذت على المصنع في لونغفيو.
