تغريم شركة «ستار إنترتينمنت» الأسترالية 183 مليون دولار بسبب انتهاك قوانين مكافحة غسل الأموال

فرضت محكمة فيدرالية أسترالية غرامة قدرها 182.73 مليون دولار أمريكي على شركة ستار إنترتينمنت لمخالفتها قوانين مكافحة غسل الأموال وتمويل الإرهاب.
جاءت العقوبة بناء على دعوى مدنية رفعتها الهيئة الرقابية في عام 2022 بسبب عدم امتثال كيانات تابعة للشركة للوائح القانونية.
خلصت المحكمة إلى أن برنامج مكافحة غسل الأموال لفرع الشركة في سيدني لم يستوفِ المتطلبات القانونية خلال الفترة من 2016 إلى 2022.
سمحت الشركة لعملاء عاليي المخاطر بالمقامرة دون التحقق من مصادر أموالهم، كما تم تعليق تداول أسهم الشركة قبيل صدور قرار المحكمة.

قضت محكمة فيدرالية أسترالية، اليوم الأربعاء، بفرض غرامة قدرها 260 مليون دولار أسترالي (182.73 مليون دولار أمريكي) على شركة “ستار إنترتينمنت” (Star Entertainment) – المشغلة للكازينوهات.
