سرطان الثدي ليس مرضاً وراثياً بالضرورة ويمكن أن يصيب سيدات ليس لديهن تاريخ عائلي للمرض.
يجب عدم الاعتماد على العامل الوراثي وحده في تقييم المخاطر الصحية والاهتمام بالفحوصات المناسبة.
يساعد الكشف المبكر على اكتشاف المرض في مراحل أولى مما يدعم تحديد الخيارات العلاجية المناسبة.
تؤكد التوعية الصحية على ضرورة استشارة الطبيب عند ملاحظة أي تغيرات غير معتادة في الثدي.
