لماذا تريد كندا وأوروبا مسارا بحريا للإنترنت يتجاوز الولايات المتحدة؟

تسعى شركة نرويجية لتطوير كابل بحري يربط النرويج بكندا عبر مسار يتجنب الأراضي الأمريكية لتنويع طرق نقل البيانات.
يهدف مشروع ليف إريكسون إلى تعزيز مرونة الاتصالات الدولية ودعم البنية التحتية لقطاعات الذكاء الاصطناعي والحوسبة السحابية.
يتطلب المشروع استثمارات تتجاوز 620 مليون دولار وتواجه تحديات تقنية وتنظيمية وبيئية قبل البدء في تنفيذه.
يوفر المسار الجديد بديلاً لتعزيز السيادة الرقمية، لكنه لا يعني الاستغناء الكامل عن الخدمات والشبكات الأمريكية.
