لماذا نمشي أسرع في المدن؟ وكيف تغيرت علاقتنا بالشوارع؟

ما يعرفه ريفو عن الخبر

أظهرت دراسة أن متوسط سرعة المشي في المدن ارتفع بنسبة 15% بين عامي 1980 و2010.
تراجعت نسبة المشي كطريقة للتنقل في بريطانيا من 60% في نهاية القرن التاسع عشر إلى 8% بعد قرن.
أدت التغيرات في تصميم الشوارع وتأثيرات البيئة المحيطة إلى تحول المساحات العامة إلى ممرات عبور سريعة بدلا من أماكن للالتقاء.
تؤثر الخصائص البيئية مثل المساحات الخضراء والجمال المعماري على سرعة المشي، حيث يتباطأ الناس في الأماكن المريحة.

تتسارع خطانا في المدن، ويقل الوقت الذي نمضيه في شوارعها وساحاتها. فكيف يؤثر إيقاع الحياة وتصميم المكان في متعة المشي وفرص اللقاء والتواصل؟
