مجلس إدارة “بي بي” يقرر إقالة رئيسه والسهم يتراجع بقوة

مجلس إدارة “بي بي” يقرر إقالة رئيسه والسهم يتراجع بقوة

أقال مجلس إدارة شركة “بي بي” البريطانية ألبرت مانفيلد رئيس الشركة من منصبه بشكل فوري نظرًا لمخاوف جدية بشأن معايير الحوكمة والرقابة والسلوك.

وقد عيّن مجلس الإدارة إيان تايلر رئيسًا مؤقتًا. وتراجع سهم الشركة في تداولات اليوم بنحو 4% إثر القرار.

مانفيلد تولى المنصب في أكتوبر الماضي للإشراف على إعادة تركيز الشركة على النفط والغاز.

ويؤدي رحيل رئيس مجلس الإدارة المفاجئ وغير المتوقع إلى إطالة أمد فترة من الاضطرابات القيادية الحادة في وقت كان من المفترض أن تُعيد فيه “بي بي” هيكلة نفسها بعد سنوات من الأداء الضعيف.

وقد لعب مانيفولد دورًا رئيسيًا في إقالة الرئيس التنفيذي السابق موراي أوشينكلوس وتعيين ميغ أونيل خلفًا له.

يذكر أنه تعاقب على “بي بي” خمسة رؤساء تنفيذيين منذ 2020.
