يتوقع الكاتب محمد السطوحي سيطرة الديمقراطيين على مجلس النواب الأمريكي في انتخابات التجديد النصفي.
بدأ بعض الجمهوريين بالتسليم بخسارة مقاعدهم وسحبوا التمويل من عدد من مرشحي حزبهم.
تعد معادلة مجلس الشيوخ أكثر صعوبة بسبب تقارب المنافسة في عدد من المقاعد المتبقية.
