حذر النائب مصطفى بكري جماعة الحوثي من مغبة توجيه أي هجمات ضد مصر مؤكداً أن القاهرة لن تسمح بأي اعتداء يستهدف أراضيها.
وصف بكري الحوثيين بالعصابة الإرهابية التي تعمل بأوامر إيرانية لتوسيع نطاق الحرب وتهديد الأمن الإقليمي.
أكد بكري أن القوات المسلحة المصرية قادرة على حماية الأمن القومي في مواجهة التهديدات التي تستهدف البحر الأحمر ومضيق باب المندب.
أشار بكري إلى أن السعودية رفضت عرضاً إسرائيلياً للمشاركة في الدفاع عنها بسبب موقفها الرافض للتطبيع قبل إقامة دولة فلسطينية.

أشار النائب مصطفى بكري، عضو مجلس النواب، إلى أن تصاعد الصراع مع الولايات المتحدة، دفع الحوثيين إلى توسيع نطاق المواجهة من خلال استهداف منشآت حيوية ومناطق داخل المملكة العربية السعودية، معتبرًا أن هذه التحركات تمثل تهديدًا للأمن الإقليمي. وقال «بكري» خلال مداخلة مع برنامج العاشرة عبر قناة «العربية»، إن السعودية سبق وأن استضافت أطرافًا عدة،.
