أدرج حزب فرنسا الأبية القضية الفلسطينية في برنامجه السياسي الرسمي داعيا لفرض عقوبات على حكومة نتنياهو.
فاز مرشحون ديمقراطيون تقدميون في الكونغرس الأمريكي وظهرت بوادر تغيير في السياسة الأمريكية تجاه إسرائيل.
أعلن حزب الخضر في بريطانيا عن نفسه كمناهض للصهيونية ومطالب بوقف تسليح إسرائيل.
أصبحت القضية الفلسطينية جزءا أساسيا من النقاش حول العدالة والمواطنة ومصداقية القيم الديمقراطية في الغرب.
