واشنطن تقنع دولاً بمعارضة قرار للأمم المتحدة يندد بالحظر على كوبا

ما يعرفه ريفو عن الخبر

  • نجحت حملة ضغط أميركية في دفع دول عدة لمعارضة أو الامتناع عن التصويت على قرار الأمم المتحدة لإنهاء الحصار على كوبا.
  • أيدت 130 دولة القرار بينما امتنعت 25 دولة عن التصويت وعارضته 17 دولة منها الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل.
  • تعتبر العقوبات الأمريكية على كوبا ضرورية لإسقاط الحكومة الكوبية بينما يصفها خبراء الأمم المتحدة بأنها انتهاك للقانون الدولي.
  • أدت العقوبات الأخيرة إلى نقص حاد في الوقود والغذاء والمياه مما دفع كوبا نحو حافة أزمة إنسانية.

حثت الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، الأربعاء بأغلبية ساحقة على إنهاء الحصار الاقتصادي الذي تفرضه الولايات المتحدة على ​كوبا منذ عقود.
