Atiku Wins ADC Presidential Primary in Zamfara
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has emerged winner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary election in Zamfara State.
The Zamfara State ADC presidential primary election committee Chairman and Returning Officer, Engr. Muhammad Musa, officially declared the results of the election on Monday at the state collation center, Command Guests House, Gusau.
Speaking to journalists, Musa said the election was conducted across 147 wards in all the 14 local government areas of the state.
According to him, the total number of registered members of the ADC in the state stood at 63,404, while the total votes cast in the election was 61,137.

Musa announced that Right Hon. Rotimi Amaechi scored 191 votes, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen got 446 votes, while Alhaji Atiku Abubakar polled 60500 votes.
The Returning Officer stated that the process was conducted in line with the party guidelines and the outcome was declared based on the total number of votes collated.
Engr. Namadi Musa congratulated all participants and urged party members to remain united ahead of the general elections.
