Beth launches a dangerous mission in Hollyoaks to destroy Charlie for good

Locating Charlie Dean (Charlie Behan) becomes Beth Keane’s (Rebecca Ryan) number one objective in Hollyoaks next week as she is adamant that he must face justice for what he’s done.

Charlie, as viewers know, was driving the car that clipped the back of the Keanes’ removal van on the way to the village, which sent Caleb (Lewis Walton) flying through the windshield.

Caleb was left with spinal injuries in the aftermath of the crash. Charlie was keen to own up to his role in the incident but Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith), feeling guilty over her pressuring him to speed up prior to the collision, urged him to keep shtum and pin the blame on Jonah (Matthew Wolfenden).

The conflict that ensued left Jack (Jimmy McKenna) beside himself and, devastated to see his family torn apart, Charlie confessed to everything, accepting responsibility for his role in what happened.

Beth, who was adamant that hubby Jonah was innocent, was pleased to see him own up but, with jail time a likely possibility, Charlie has been scared of what the future holds for him.

Scenes this week saw him suffer a panic attack and Beth did little to help, with Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) wasting little time in blaming her for Charlie’s plight.

The situation escalated further when Nancy (Jessica Fox) revealed that Charlie had vanished without a trace.

Beth, however, grows convinced that the Osbornes are simply hiding Charlie and thus she instructs Caleb to spy on the clan, hoping to gather some evidence to prove her theory.

Her theory is, after all, correct! The Osbornes are harbouring Charlie.

Determined to get him out of dodge, Darren reveals that he’s going to put Charlie on a train to Newcastle. Nancy isn’t so sure about such a plan, revealing that she doesn’t think their boy should go on the run.

Charlie, meanwhile, prepares to head to the station – but he cannot bring himself to drive, riddled with flashbacks to the crash.

Later, Darren finds Charlie still at home and promises to be there for him, no matter what.

Beth, meanwhile, invites the Osbornes around to Weirside View for lunch tomorrow – but she has a plan to get the answers she so desperately craves.

There’s almost a hiccup in her plot, however, as Frankie reveals that she’s getting her boot off on the day in question and thus won’t be able to attend. But Beth refuses to take no for an answer.

Later, Jack is over the moon that his two families are finally merging, unaware of Beth’s ulterior motives.

And as for the plan? Beth steals a key to the Osbornes’ and enlists Maddox’s help in breaking into the Basswood Road while she keeps the family busy at lunch.

The question is: will Charlie be located? And if so, will Beth ensure that he goes straight to jail for evading the authorities?
