Fun Miles now available at Harrison’s Cave Eco-Adventure Park
Visitors to Harrison’s Cave Eco-Adventure Park can now earn and redeem Fun Miles as the regional loyalty programme continues its expansion.
The Cave’s partnership with Fun Miles was launched on Thursday in St Thomas, giving Barbadians another option to collect rewards while enjoying one of the island’s most recognisable tourism sites.
Managing Director of Fun Miles, Wouter De Leeuw, described the addition of Harrison’s Cave as a major step for the programme, which launched in Barbados with hardware store Kooyman as its inaugural partner.

“It never gets old adding new members to the family,” he said. “I’m very much looking forward to this partnership with Harrison’s Cave…. It’s one that’s special to people from Barbados because it’s such a strong brand on the island, and it’s something special that people can experience with their Fun Miles going forward.”
Since launching locally, De Leeuw revealed that close to 7 000 members are now part of the programme. “It’s growing fast, faster than we expected.”
He added that adventure attractions such as Harrison’s Cave are important to the overall programme because they give customers meaningful ways to use the points they accumulate through everyday spending.
“We very much believe in the fact that rewarding people is fun, saving is fun, but redemption is much more fun,” he said. “Being able to do fun stuff with your miles is the most important part of even being a Fun Miles member in this case.”
The partnership comes as Harrison’s Cave continues to expand its offerings beyond cave tours in an effort to attract more locals to the property.
Country Manager at Chukka, Alicia Jemmott, said the attraction has intentionally focused on keeping Barbadians connected to the site since Chukka assumed management of the facility.
“Harrison’s Cave is not just another attraction,” she said. “It is very much part of the Barbadian DNA, and most Barbadians would have visited here, especially when they were schoolchildren on a school trip or family outing.”
“That is why this partnership is so important. As a team, we have been very intentional about keeping Harrison’s Cave connected to Barbadians.”
Jemmott explained that the eco-adventure park now offers a wider range of experiences, including a zipline, challenge course, culinary experiences, pool access and entertainment events aimed at encouraging repeat visits from locals.
“It’s not only about the Cave anymore,” she said. “Persons are able to experience the property in many different ways. And we believe that this partnership will help us place those experiences within easy reach of Barbadian families and communities.”
She noted that locals have increasingly been returning to the attraction, with Barbadian visitors now accounting for nearly 25 to 30 per cent of customers compared to roughly 15 per cent when Chukka first took over operations.
“We’re engaging the locals, offering something because persons may have said: ‘We’ve all been to Harrison’s Cave’. So we want them to come again and bring someone in.”
Among the current initiatives attracting the public is a general park pass that allows guests to access the property and receive credits back at the bar and grill.
“So it’s pretty much just pay $30, get back $20 at the bar and you can enjoy the property,” Jemmott said. “We find the locals really like that and it gives them access to the pool.”
She also revealed that Harrison’s Cave is looking to introduce its own loyalty initiative later this summer. “We’re also looking to launch a loyalty card for locals in the summer. You get repeat visits, discounts, etc., and then obviously you’re still going to get your Fun Miles.”
The new partnership means customers can begin earning points immediately upon arrival at the attraction.
“Our team was fully trained,” she said. “As soon as they check in upstairs, even before they come out, they’re able to get their points right from the beginning.”
Fun Miles currently operates in several Caribbean territories, including Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, St Maarten and St Eustatius, and recently expanded into Barbados with Kooyman as the first local partner in 2025. Since then, the programme has grown to include five partners locally.
