Juventus Turn To De Gea As Alisson Deal Hits Dead End

David de Gea could be on the verge of a stunning move to Juventus, with the Italian giants ramping up their interest in the Spanish goalkeeper. The former Manchester United star has emerged as a serious option in Turin after talks for Liverpool’s Alisson Becker reached an impasse.

According to reports in Italy, Juventus are closely monitoring De Gea as they seek to strengthen their goalkeeping options ahead of the new season.

The 35-year-old has revived his career at Fiorentina in Serie A, and his impressive displays have caught the attention of the Juventus hierarchy. With the transfer window nearing, De Gea is now a strong candidate to take the gloves at the Allianz Stadium.

The speculation over his future has intensified after De Gea, who has been a key figure for the Viola, posted an emotional message on social media reflecting on a gruelling campaign. Juventus are known for pursuing experienced, proven winners with international pedigree, and the Spaniard fits that mould perfectly.

Addressing Fiorentina fans, De Gea wrote: “A challenging season for all of us, but one in which we demonstrated what this club represents: the heart, the fight, and the values that define us. As captain of this incredible club, I feel the responsibility. I am grateful for every single moment of this year, from everyone at the club to my teammates, the club and the staff. Now is the time to rest and recover.”

Juventus’s pursuit of De Gea has gathered pace as their attempts to sign Liverpool’s Alisson have stalled. Despite strong interest from Italy, Liverpool are determined to keep the Brazilian at Anfield and have reportedly told him they plan to retain him for at least another year. That stance has forced Juventus to look elsewhere for quality reinforcements.

Liverpool’s firm position means a deal for Alisson is unlikely unless the player pushes for a move. With the Brazilian focused on the upcoming World Cup, Juventus have pivoted to more achievable targets who already know Serie A – bringing them directly to De Gea’s door as the primary alternative.
