Lower fuel surcharge to trim airfare costs in June
MANILA, Philippines — Airline passengers traveling domestically and internationally in the first half of June will pay lower fuel surcharge fees after regulators cut the applicable rate anew as global jet fuel prices continued to soften. In an advisory issued Thursday, the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) announced that the fuel surcharge level for June 1 to 15 would be reduced to Level 13 from the current Level 15 imposed for May 16 to 31.
