MOE probing alleged sexual misconduct case involving Setiu teacher

KUALA TERENGGANU: An alleged sexual misconduct case involving a teacher at a school in Setiu, which went viral on social media, is being investigated by the Integrity Unit of the Education Ministry (MOE).

The Terengganu Education Department (JPNT) said investigations are ongoing and urged the public to channel any information related to the case to the department.

It said the teacher has been placed at the district education office while investigations are being carried out.

“JPNT does not compromise on any sexual misconduct within its educational institutions. Action will be taken against anyone found guilty,” the department said in a statement today.
