Pas syura council discusses ties with Bersatu, says Annuar Musa
KUALA LUMPUR: Pas’ cooperation with Bersatu was among the matters discussed at the party’s syura council meeting today, said Pas central committee member Tan Sri Annuar Musa.
He said the meeting was still ongoing at the time of reporting, with discussions centred on ummah unity and the need to avoid divisions.
He said Pas was giving “deep attention and high concern” to political rifts it viewed as detrimental to national politics, adding that all aspects, including its relationship with Bersatu, were discussed.
However, Annuar declined to elaborate on any decisions, stressing that he was not a syura council member and that any outcome from the meeting would still need to be endorsed by the Pas central committee.
“Regarding any decisions, the meeting is still ongoing and I am not a member. Whatever is achieved at the Syura meeting will be brought to the Pas Central Committee for endorsement. The schedule is on June 8,” he told reporters at Pas headquarters here today.
