PNP backs EJK Truth Commission; to join hands with independent body

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) will cooperate within the bounds of the law with the independent and civilian-led body launched to document killings and abuses linked to the bloody drug war campaign of former President Rodrigo Duterte, PNP chief, PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez said on Friday. The PNP said it welcomes the launch of “EJK [extrajudicial killings] Truth Commission,” which is formed by civil society leaders and backed by the Church.
