Meet the Instructor

JC Gotinga is an award-winning video producer and journalist whose work spans global and regional newsrooms, including Al Jazeera, CNN Philippines, Vice World News, TRT World, and DW News. He currently serves as senior producer and reporter at Rappler, where he leads coverage of some of the country’s most consequential stories.

His reporting highlights include the West Philippine Sea, the Marawi Siege, and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. These days, he spends much of his time asking a pressing question for journalism in 2026: How do we make meaningful stories work on TikTok?
