Save faster and earn more with Maybank’s Tabung Daily Bonus Promo

62% of young Malaysian savers actively use digital tools to manage their money.*

Saving money is not always easy, especially for young adults juggling rising living costs, stagnant wages and growing financial commitments. In uncertain times, putting money aside often feels like a challenge rather than a habit.

That is where digital banking tools can make a real difference. According to the RinggitPlus Malaysian Financial Literacy Survey 2025, 62% of young Malaysian savers actively use digital tools to manage their finances.*

Designed to help users save more consistently, Maybank’s Tabung in the MAE app offers a simple and flexible way to work towards financial goals.

And now, with the Tabung Daily Bonus Promo, users can grow their savings faster while earning up to 4.29% p.a.

A smarter way to save

Available through the MAE app, Tabung is a digital savings feature that helps users set savings goals and stay on track with automated tools and customisable features.

Users can create up to 10 active savings goals at a time with individual deadlines, with the option to use the Auto Deduction feature. Funds are automatically transferred weekly or monthly from a linked Maybank Current or Savings Account or MAE wallet, helping users save consistently without having to think about it.

There is also the option to save together with friends or family through Group Tabung.

To help users reach their targets faster, Tabung also comes with three Booster features:

  1. Spare Change: rounds up Scan & Pay transactions and channels the balance into your Tabung.
  2. Scan & Save: saves the difference from Scan & Pay promotions directly into your Tabung.
  3. Guilty Pleasure: transfers money into your Tabung whenever you overspend in selected spending categories. Users can customise daily spending limits and switch the feature on or off anytime.

Earn daily bonuses while you save

Running from May 25 to Aug 24, 2026, the Tabung Daily Bonus promo rewards users who maintain savings in eligible Tabungs.

Earn RM0.10 daily for each day that your ‘Bonus’ Tabung has an end-of-day balance of RM850.** Conditions apply.

To participate, simply create a Tabung with the word “Bonus” in its name, such as Holiday Bonus, Shopping Bonus or Car Bonus.

Users who have an end-of-day balance of RM850 in their Bonus Tabung will receive RM0.10 daily, equivalent to 4.29% p.a.** The bonus will be credited into the said Tabung the following day.

For example, if the required balance is met on Monday, the bonus will be credited on Tuesday.

Users can earn bonus in multiple eligible Tabungs, with total bonuses reaching up to RM92 across the 92-day campaign period.

In addition, 2,000 eligible customers stand a chance to receive an extra RM50 through a lucky draw. To qualify, users need to transfer a minimum of RM200 into their Maybank account from another bank account or e-wallet, and include the word “Bonus” in the recipient reference field.

Each RM200 transfer earns one entry, meaning more transfers increase the chances of winning.

Alongside the campaign, Maybank has also refreshed the Tabung interface within the MAE app to offer a smoother and more user-friendly experience.

Eligible Bonus Tabungs are now highlighted with a green halo for easier visibility, while push notifications keep users updated whenever bonuses are credited.
